At this point (7 seasons in), what is there left to say about this trio of food and their shenanigans? You either love them or hate them and if you don’t know about them then where the hell have you been?

This season features only 11 episodes (there‘s normally 16) and they are: The Creature From Plaque Lagoon, Time Machine, 2-And-a-Half-Star Wars Out Of Five, Fry Legs, Der Inflatable Fuhrer, Last Last One Forever and Ever, Rubberman, Monster, Multiple Meats, Rabbot Redux and Eggball.

The show never fails to push boundaries in terms of violence and the grotesque, and this season more than delivers. From Radolf the inflatable Hitler who turns Meatwad Jewish to test a disease on him, to Lance the duck made from used condoms - he’s a more vile Crack Fox (Mighty Boosh) - and far more scary, there’s a pretty awesome theme song about him too. Sure there’s a few episodes this season that do miss the mark, but there’s more good than bad and overall it’s far better than the clunker of a series that season 5 was.

The highlight for this season (although not the strongest episode) has to be the live action episode The Last Last One Forever and Ever (mostly for the novelty of it). Rapper T-Pain plays Frylock, comedian/actor H. Jon Benjamin is Master Shake and Meatwad is a yoga ball. The real life sets they crew madeare amazing, I’ve always had a thing for the drawings on Meatwad’s wall and they have replicated it exactly, it’s soo cute. It almost seems a shame that it’s only a 10 minute episode they did all that work for, I would love to see a live action Aqua Teen movie, but it was weird not hearing Dana Snyder (Master Shake) and Carey Means (Frylock) voices.

In the extras department there’s heaps of stuff, there’s behind the scenes for the live action episode (runs for 15 minutes) and for Rubber man (3 minutes) which isn’t so much a behind the scenes , it’s filming a recording session for the great “Lance the duck made from used condoms” song. There’s also Terrorphone II - The Legend of Rakenstein, a horribly made (but awesome) mini horror movie with 5 minutes worth of credits (you may have caught the first on volume 6). And finally some audio clips of Carl and Meatwad, a bunch of trailers for other Adult Swim / Madman releases, and the best extra of all - Live Action Carl: The Dave Long Story. Live Action Carl is an 11 minute feature which compiles clips that fans sent in of themselves dressed as Carl. It’s totally hilarious and there’s some real gems in here, but I believe they picked the right Carl in the end.

Everything about Aqua Teen, to me anyway, seems as if it is done to repel viewers. From the content and artwork to menu loops, (or for example - the season where they made the play all button play every single episode at once); point being, you know what to expect from this show: violence, tacky and tasteless lines and visuals, nonsensical larks and complete pointlessness. Aqua Teen Hunger Force Volume 7 is a must have for any fan of the show, for those not acquainted with it I would recommend you start at the beginning of the series or check out Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theatres. Madman’s Adult Swim releases are always top-notch and although this season lacks a few episodes compared to others, the ample extras and awesome artwork of Carl (his outside on the front, and insides on the inside slip) more than make up for the smaller season.
